Time to Renew

I'm actually sitting in my hotel room at the St. Anthony in San Antonio. I'm actually sitting on the big, comfy, king size bed with my laptop on my lap. I'm actually still in my pajamas. I'm actually sitting here thinking I have nothing I HAVE to do today. And what I do will be for me.

Bryan is attending his TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) conference...and, well, I came along for the ride. We are staying at this most excellent old hotel....it is full of antiques, history and superior customer care.

I know that's not the best picture in the world - but it gives you an idea. The hotel was built in 1909. And it has seen it's share of famous people.

I went yesterday and walked the treadmill (gasp!), met Bryan at Casa de Rio for lunch, walked the exhibit hall, walked the Riverwalk Mall, walked to the hotel, figured out the free internet, watched TV and went to dinner at Landry's with Bryan. We were going to go to some bar or club but decided to get a bottle of wine and go back to our room and watch TV...I was asleep by 9pm.

Today will be more of the same - except Bryan made reservations at Boudreax's for dinner tonight. I'm thinking I'll go walk the Riverwalk this morning and get some good pictures and maybe go to the Alamo and see what I can see. The weather has been gorgeous!

The River was so quite yesterday morning and peaceful...it quickly picked up when the boat tours started going and people were out and about for lunch.

A big thanks goes out to the grandparents that are watching the boys for us...THANKS!
