Wednesdays

Wednesdays are always busy days. Today I had an eye doctor appointment --- I got reprimanded for making a 6 months supply of contacts last for 2 1/2 years. Ooops! Well....the Dr. wasn't very happy with me...but I haven't had any problems, right? Anyways, it's done and checked off the list of things to do in the new year. I think I have a dentist appointment in a few weeks - we'll see what he has to say. I thought I'd post some more pictures:

Here is Evan at the park yesterday. He is getting so big so quickly. I noticed on Sunday that he had cut his first tooth! He will be 5 months old on Thursday. Then on Monday I saw the 2nd tooth had broken through. Isn't there something weird about seeing a baby who can't sit up yet with teeth in his mouth?

Brennan had a blast at the park. They have all this weird playground equipment...half of it I don't know what you're supposed to do with it...isn't that dumb? Anways, we figured most of it out - or at least Brennan did. The weather was in the 80s...how nice is that for the end of February. Brennan was hot after the park and suggested we go to the water park. How do you explain that they aren't open because it's not hot enough yet?
Brennan loves to bake!!! He is getting good at mixing, pouring, measuring and telling what the ingredients are. He is sooo patient and would spend the time all day doing it. Here he is baking English Muffin Bread at Grandma's today. Yesterday I was in my room working on the computer while Brennan was plugged into some fine Noggin programming. He came in with the timer, set it and put it on my desk. He said, "When this dings, we will go bake cookies, alright?"

Here is the finished product before it made it's way to the oven. Good job, Brennan! And thanks for the pictures, Mom.

poot poot

So it was 6:20 this morning and Brennan comes into our room..."Mommy, I want to snuggle because it says it's 6." Well, we had told him he couldn't come into our room unless the first number on his clock at least said 6. I guess now he thinks he has to snuggle if it says 6...we'll have to have a chat about that. ANYWAYS, I told him he needed to go potty first. So he did and came running back in our room, up in the bed, between us and covers up over him. He was being very quiet and laying there really nicely. So, I'm drifting back to sleep when I hear "excuse me". Another minute or so...another "excuse me". Then the next time I hear a quiet toot from under the covers...."excuse me". He was being awfully polite. "Brennan, do you need to go to the bathroom?", I said. "No, I don't".....toot, "excuse me." Then he says...."My tummy hurts." "Brennan, that's because you need to go poo poos." "Okay, I'll go". So he hops out of bed and spends some quality time in the bathroom. Apparently he had eaten a large dinner at Nan and Grandy's the night before. Then we hear from the bathroom..."I'm finished!" So, I kicked Bryan out of bed to go help Brennan with the wiping duty. Bryan plugged him in to some early morning Noggin programming so we could fall back asleep for 30 more minutes. I love Sunday mornings!!

Scrapping again

I went scrapbooking again last night...I got 13 whole pages done from 2005. I worked from 4:30 to midnight. I'm so behind but hopefully I can keep the momentum going and get caught up again. Maybe I can set up shop tonight in the living room and get some pages done while I'm watching the Academy Awards. I heard they are doing things differently and saving all the Best Actor/Actress awards to the end. I wish they would do them all first so we can all go to bed. We are planning an easy Sunday--- yippee!!!This is a picture with Brennan and his new hat. I got it to go with his Easter outfit....but it's too cute and I wish he would wear it all the time. Brennan decided that Evan needed some cars to play with. I love the look on Evan's face...like what am I supposed to do with these.

Grey's

Okay, so I'm totally addicted to TV...I love soooo many shows that it is so hard to keep up with. I love Desperate Housewives (although, it's not half as good as the first season), Brothers and Sisters (hot Senator, Rob Lowe), Heroes, 24, ER (even though it's getting boring with the same crap happening over and over) and Grey's Anatomy. I love reality TV too...American Idol (even though I don't have the patience to watch until the last 12 are decided), Wife Swap, SuperNanny, and soo many more. I also am excited that Dancing with the Stars and the Amazing Race are coming back too. I love the FoodNetwork and all their shows too. It really is sick - thank God for DVR or I'd be a wreck trying to keep up with it all.

So, what's going to happen on Grey's tonight - is Meredith going to die????

The first one

So, here goes....I've never done anything like this, and, well...figured I'd give it a try. I don't know why I should be so bold to think that other people want to read what I have to say or that what I have to say is even entertaining or interesting. But "blogging" seems like a popular thing to do and not quite as "teenageish" as a myspace page. I have funny things that happen to us everyday or at least most everyday and I thought this would be a fun way to share. Let me know if you like my new blog.
