Evan is 2 years old! I just can't believe he is leaving that baby stage forever and has moved into full-fledged toddlerhood. He is such a shining light in our lives.
I love that he is talking more and saying the cutest things. "Hi, Mommy", "Hi, Daddy", "Hi, Brennan-Boo". And, yes, he does just call him Brennan-Boo. He has been learning and growing so fast in the past few weeks with all this new language!
I love that he can be the sweetest little boy at times with snuggles and kisses (on the lips), patting your back, and then he can be downright stubborn with his typical toddler personality shining through.
I love that he is so extreme. We have called him Extreme Evan - whatever it is that he does...he does it extremely well.
I love that we have invented a nickname for him by calling him Mayor. For "Mayor of Crazytown" because he is certainly in charge there! He has no fear and will attempt anything as long as he is trying to keep up with his big brother. He also is called Mayor because, as someone once told us..."Evan demands respect!"
I love that he is totally hysterical with his funny faces and sense of humor. He came out into this world making funny faces! He has the best laugh too... and you totally know what he is thinking when he gives you a "look".
I love that he loves music and his favorite genre is hip/hop or rap. He loves the Underdog Theme Song and Can't Touch This or Ice, Ice Baby.
I love that most recently, he has been very interested in books. Pulling all the books off his bookshelf and bringing them to us one by one to read. He will go to sleep at night while looking at books.
I love that he is on the road to potty training. He has done way beyond my expectation and has been doing really well at school too!
I love that Evan is so different from his brother and is teaching us another way to parent.
I love that Evan completes our family and makes us smile everyday.
Happy Birthday, Evan. I love YOU!
