So we did it...we gave Evan his first haircut. I was tired of all the comments and well, it just needed to be done. I'd like to say he sat there so nice and still while I did this - but he didn't. He carried on and wanted down and just didn't make it easy. I did my best and I think it came out okay.

I was sad to see those sweet baby curls go but I saved one for his baby book. He looks pretty grown up now - well, for a 1 year old. And now I don't have to tuck his hair behind his ear. :)

My Grandma and Ralph came for a visit last week. We had so much fun visiting and playing together. We ate out at yummy restuarants and had some good homecooked meals too. I'm so glad that they were able to come from Wisconsin to meet Evan and see how much Brennan has grown up. They also got to meet Reid (Colleen's baby and their youngest great grandbaby). It was a good visit!

We've also been busy planning and preparing for the pirate party extravaganza. Here's a sneak peek at Brennan. We needed to "practice" Brennan's makeup and costume wearing. I think I need some more practice on the moustache. It looks a little to pimpish - what do you think?

We celebrated Colleen's 30th birthday last night. John and Colleen hosted a shindig at their house. It was fun seeing all the kids and babies that are around now. My how things change. This is a pic of the cake I did. Yummy!
