You decide

So in watching the new season premiere of Dancing With the Stars....Marie Osmond looked strikingly like Elvira.....especially in her little intro/bio where she was dancing around by herself. Her hair looked all big and her make up was heinous.

Okay, so maybe not exactly....but it you get my drift.

First Haircut and other life happenings

So we did it...we gave Evan his first haircut. I was tired of all the comments and well, it just needed to be done. I'd like to say he sat there so nice and still while I did this - but he didn't. He carried on and wanted down and just didn't make it easy. I did my best and I think it came out okay. I was sad to see those sweet baby curls go but I saved one for his baby book. He looks pretty grown up now - well, for a 1 year old. And now I don't have to tuck his hair behind his ear. :)
My Grandma and Ralph came for a visit last week. We had so much fun visiting and playing together. We ate out at yummy restuarants and had some good homecooked meals too. I'm so glad that they were able to come from Wisconsin to meet Evan and see how much Brennan has grown up. They also got to meet Reid (Colleen's baby and their youngest great grandbaby). It was a good visit!
We've also been busy planning and preparing for the pirate party extravaganza. Here's a sneak peek at Brennan. We needed to "practice" Brennan's makeup and costume wearing. I think I need some more practice on the moustache. It looks a little to pimpish - what do you think?

We celebrated Colleen's 30th birthday last night. John and Colleen hosted a shindig at their house. It was fun seeing all the kids and babies that are around now. My how things change. This is a pic of the cake I did. Yummy!

Back to School

Brennan started his first day of private Pre-K last Monday. He seems to really like his class and new teachers, Ms. Mackey and Mr. Nothe. He is so proud of his uniform he has to wear too. I can't believe that he is about to be 4 years old! Evan started back in Infant Room 2. He is already telling people what to do and being his typical self. They missed Evan over the summer and they are glad to have him back to make them laugh again. Bryan and I both started back on Monday full time too. It will be an adjustment to both be at 5 days a week but it will be good. We are thankful for the 3 day weekend! Evan, of course, is sick....a fever, gunky nose, etc. I'm assuming it's still an ear infection that hasn't cleared up from when he went to the doctor on August 16th. That kid is going to need tubes just like his brother! We spent Saturday morning cleaning and cleaning the house. We all were supposed to go to Six Flags with Nan and Grandy today but I'm home with sicky Evan. So I'm sure they all will have fun. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
